Our curiosity has thus led us to confront a universe that is surprising in its complexity. The ambition of our research on the material rediscovered in weaving was the exploitation of the inherent resources of this device, by creating reflections and plastic works.
We have therefore attempted to broaden the field of studies on the practice of the visual arts, in order to address the question of sensory activity, more specifically the visual and the tactile, immersed in the weaving device. This approach has demonstrated the importance of the contribution of sensory experience to the plastic arts, in particular.
It is clear that the scientific approach taken in this work is inseparable from a quest of a different nature, be it philosophical, psychological, expressive, or practical. The artist is, by nature, a technician, and the creative process deserves certain experiences.
